Blob, Blobby, Blobberson

An idea in passing, a random sample for a class, and many mornings of stitching later I have enough blocks for a quilt top. Obsess much, Cheryl? I think I remember which one was first - a green one - but then I just kept going. I had to actually make myself stop. For one, I was running out of potential fabrics for the backgrounds. And two, it was time to clear creative space for another project. There is only so much room so things have to finish before you can move on.

With the studio set up now my home sewing is primarily hand work, so many mornings this winter and spring saw stitches go in to these blocks. I’m home, with my machine, for a week helping a kid recover from surgery, so the blocks have been prepped and will be sewn into a top before the week is over. So will the applique project I started right after I finished these blocks.

Creativity is a well that never runs dry and I’m over here drinking it in.
