Adventure Sewalong Week 3 - A Set of Blocks

A little bit of experimentation on my idea, a quiet weekend at home with a sick kid, and voila!

This is the main set of blocks for the quilt. I absolutely love them! I am stopping at this point, however, for two reasons. 1. These blocks are 11" so already I am at over 50" square. And 2. I am out of pieces of fabric big enough to make these and ensure the right colour story and variety. 

All that being said, I don't think I am done with this quilt top yet. I have a couple of ideas for doing a bit more with it. They all involve bringing back the car/family inspiration as a border. But just how that border looks is up in the air. I need to make some samples for decision making. I can see it in my head, but how are you supposed to help me with it if it is stuck in the corner of my brain?
